The Last Lear Bollywood movie watch online (2008)

The Last Lear Story

The Last Lear," one of few Bollywood films to be made in English, opened in Indian cinemas on Friday, a year after it premiered at the Toronto film festival.
Ghosh said his film's protagonist is also similar to the ageing monarch of Shakespeare's "King Lear."

"Metaphorically, the vulnerability of old age, an old man who is taken advantage of, is represented in the film," he said.

For Bachchan, the role of Harry and the way he used Shakespeare's language to illustrate his points brought back memories of his own early acting days.
"I have enjoyed so many of his (Shakespeare's) plays, it's difficult to say which one is my favorite," he told a news conference this week.

There were doubts about the film's release for a while.A regional political party in Mumbai, the home of Bollywood, had threatened to boycott Bachchan's films after his wife Jaya apparently promoted Hindi over Marathi, the city's local language.

Posters of the film were torn down and a theatre screening the film vandalized, forcing producers to cancel its premiere earlier this week.

But the party called off the boycott of Bollywood's first family after Bachchan apologized for Jaya's off-the-cuff remark, allowing "The Last Lear" to make it to cinemas on schedule.

Raman Thediya Seethai Tamil movie online Trailer

Raman Thediya seethai Story Review

There's a delicate balance between portraying a genuinely touching story and going overboard with emotions. And that's where Global One Studio Productions' Raman Thediya Seethai (Rama's Hunt for Seetha), directed by K P Jagannath, manages to be different. Moserbaer's Tamil production has actually managed to hit the bull's-eye with this one.

The first few scenes themselves set the tone; first, a hesitant and bashful Venugopal (Cheran) trying desperately to carry on an interesting conversation with a prospective bride Ranjitha (Vimala Raman), in her picturesque home in Nagercoil. The conversation proceeds quite well in the beginning, until it hits an unexpected snag -- Venu was hospitalised for extreme stress during his school years; he still stammers as the result of the strain, and when he's unexpectedly put into stressful situations. Ranjitha, unimpressed with the story, rejects him

Alibaba Story Review

The film opens with the city experiencing horrific crimes at different parts and young women are harassed and put to death. Meanwhile, there are small time crooks Krishna, Prakash Raj and Jeeva who are involved time criminal activities. Something special about them is that they are not interested in getting in higher level of crime, since they are happy with what they are. And for their fortune, they find that a huge amount has been deposited in their bank account.

They feel it as luck thinking that someone has mistakenly deposited it. But then starts the problem as the amount in their account keeps increasing. Prakash Raj being the gang leader decides to put an end to this since he discovers that they are into the web of traps where someone is using them….

Remaining portion of the film has been very well narrated with extraordinary thrills. The best part of the director is that he keeps us guessing who the culprit is till the last moment.

Krishna looks more apt with the role as youngster who has to deal with different situations. He does fine work with action stunts. Actress Janani is good with her simple looks, but has nothing to do more with the film. Lollu Sabha fame Jeeva comes up with a matured performance while Prakash Raj steals the show.

On the technical terms, cinematography and editing works well for the enhanced visual quality. But, it’s completely a great disappointment from Vidhyasagar and in the recent times, he has completely come down in his career graph. It seems to be a wonder, why Neelam K Sekar didn’t rope in Yuvan Shankar Raja to score music.
On the whole, Alibaba is an excellent film that has right elements of suspense-thriller.

Looks like many Alfred Hitchcock are blooming up in Kollywood Your Ad Here

Indian Tennis Player Leander Paes History and Success

Leander Paes

Leander Adrian Paes (born June 17, 1973) is an Indian male tennis professional who currently features in the doubles events in the ATP tour and the Davis Cup tournament. He is one of the most successful professional Indian tennis players and is also the current captain of the Indian tennis team. He has won various doubles and mixed doubles events at the Tennis Grand Slam events. He is also the recipient of India's highest sporting honour, the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award in 1996–1997 and the Padmashri award in 2001 for his contribution to Tennis in India.

Apart from his seven Grand Slam victories at doubles and Mixed doubles events, he is famous for his several memorable Davis Cup performances playing for India and also for winning a bronze medal for India in the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games.

However, his singles career never scaled great heights though he almost bailed India out of tough situations in Davis Cup ties. In the meantime, he and partner Mahesh Bhupathi joined forces and tasted great success in doubles winning a handful of grand slam titles. At one point of time, they were the No.1 tennis pair in the world. But certain personal differences forces them to part way curtailing what could have been a glorious chapter in Indian tennis. The two however always come together whenever representing India in Davis Cup ties. Even after his split with Bhupathi, Paes continues to be a force on the doubles circuit and has even added to his tally of Grand Slam titles. The same can be said of Bhupathi also. But the magic the duo created on court together has unfortunately been lost. Paes and Bhupathimay have parted ways some years back, but their influence on tennis was so strong that it is difficult to talk of them separately even today.

For his great contribution to Indian tennis, Leander was conferred upon with the Rajiv Gandhi khel Ratna award in the year 1996-1997. Some years in later on in 2001, the prestigious Padma Shri award was also bestowed upon him.

Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi took part in the men's doubles at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. They were eliminated in the Quater-Finals by Roger Federer and Stanislas Wawrinka who went on to win the men's doubles gold medal Your Ad Here

The Bombay Stock Exchange

The BSE Broadcast is a large ticker on the wall of the BSE, which continuously displays the latest stock quotes from the market. It also displays – on what is described as India's and South Asia's largest video screen –one of the leading business-news channels in India

This new system was unveiled on December 15,2006, when Dr Prannoy Roy, the Managing Director of New Delhi Television (NDTV) Ltd, struck the BSE's opening bell. The Master of Cricket Sir Donald George Bradman Life History

Sir Donald George Bradman
Sir Donald George Bradman, AC (27 August 1908 – 25 February 2001), often referred to as The Don, was an Australian cricketer, widely acknowledged as the greatest batsman of all time. Bradman's career Test batting average of 99.94 has been claimed to be statistically the greatest achievement in any major sport.

The story that the young Bradman practiced alone with a cricket stump and a golf ball is part of Australian folklore. Bradman’s meteoric rise from bush cricket to the Australian Test team took just over two years. Before his 22nd birthday, he had set many records for high scoring, some of which still stand, and became Australia's sporting idol at the height of the Great Depression.

A complex, highly-driven man, not given to close personal relationships, Bradman retained a pre-eminent position in the game by acting as an administrator, selector and writer for three decades following his retirement. Even after he became reclusive in his declining years his opinion was highly sought, and his status as a national icon was still recognised—more than 50 years after his retirement as a Test player, in 2001, the Australian Prime Minister John Howard called him the "greatest living Australian". Bradman's image has appeared on postage stamps and coins, and he was the first living Australian to have a museum dedicated to his life. On the centenary of his birth, 27 August 2008, the Royal Australian Mint issued a $5 commemorative gold coin with his image.

Bradman, who died in 2001 aged 92 and played his last innings 60 years ago, retired with a Test batting average of 99.94. He was hailed by current Australian captain Ricky Ponting as an incomparable figure in the history of cricket and of sport.
"It's almost like he's separate from the game," Ponting said.
"His name and what he achieved, it's so far out of any player's reach, in his time or any player who has played since, it's almost like he played a different game to what we're playing.
"Is there anyone who's ever played any sport who's been able to achieve that level of greatness?"

Dhanam movie review

In this movie, this assiduous actress showed how far her dedication can stretch. There was a scene which required her to act in a waist-high turbid puddle and the shooting for this was scheduled in the late evening. She did her job without any hesitation. Next day, she was running a temperature, but she ignored her fever and completed the shooting for the day.

The supporting cast of this movie comprises big names such as Girish Karnad, Kotta Srinivas Rao, Ashish Vidhyarthi, Rajalakshmi, Prem, Manobala and the likes. Music is by Ilayaraja. Kavignar Vaali, Mu. Mehta, Vishali Kannadasan, Muthulingam, and Pazhani Bharati have penned lyrics for the songs. Famous Thottadharani is the art director.

Saroja Movie Part 1(Double Click)

Saroja Movie Part 2(Double Click)

Story Review
The movie, which is serious in its content, is not short of fun elements altogether. The divergent natures of the friends provide a lot of scope for fun and the director utilizes the opportunity to make us laugh amidst some tensed kidnap drama.

The weak point of the movie is that while it is highly unpredictable in the first half, it becomes quite predictable in the second half. The twists too are not that convincing. The way the villain group behaves looks funny at times, while the escape of the friends lacks credibility. A little more care in to the second half would have made the movie an outstanding experience.

Despite these flaws, ‘Saroja’, boasts of a fast and stylish narrative and breathtaking and youthful background score. The smart editing and amazing cinematography add value to the pace.

Shiva, enacting the role of a TV serial star, Premji Amaran, as a funny guy who falls in love with every passing girl, SPB Charan, portraying the married man’s role and Vaibhav Reddy as Jagapathi Babu’s brother has done their respective parts well.

Sampath as the head of kidnapping gang is quite impressive. Nikitha (companion of Sampath) provides glamour with ease. Kajal Agarwal in a cameo is impressive.

The new girl Vega fits the bill perfectly. She has nothing to do in the first half other than dancing for a song. But the cute looking girl makes her presence felt in the second half, where she gets lot of scope to act. The performances of Prakash Raj and Jayaram in limited roles are quite competent.

‘Saroja’ is as a fun filled thriller that provides a good entertains despite some flaws

Dham Dhoom Movie Review:

After so many hurdles Jayam Ravi starer "Dham dhoom" has finally hit the big screen. It is the last film of our veteran director late Jeeva. His wife Aneez and his mentor P.C. Sriram had took real pain to release the final product. The film is distributed by Ayngaran international and produced by Sunanda Murali and Manohar. All their efforts didn't go in vain as the sympathy wave have already created much hype among the audience and they were now rushing to the theater for advance booking. The biggest question here is Is the film really worth watching ??? To know about it more just read on...

Story:

Gautam (Jayam Ravi) who is a house surgeon is selected to take part in a five day medical conference in Moscow. At St.Petersburg Airport a Russian girl(Maria) cleverly drops her overcoat to gautam. The later scene reveals that the coat has been used by that girl to smuggle some banned drugs. Gautam successfully finishes his conference and will visit the local pub in the evening. There he will meet that Russian girl again, both will get heavily drunk and they dance for an item number. Then our hero unwillingly carries her back to the hotel not knowing how to dispose her off. In the next day morning maria is found murdered and the hero has been arrested for the cause. There comes his Lawyer lakshmi rai... both gautham and lakshmi rai are made to run all over the places in and around the city , chased by a mob of strangers and later by police ppl. In between, our hero narrates his love interest shenba (Kangna Ranaut) in the flash back sequence. At the meanwhile Lakshmi rai too fell for our hero. How Jayam ravi tackles all his problems and whether he wins his lady love shenba is the rest of the story...

Plus and minus:

The photography of Jeeva is too good he had caught all the glimpses of pollachi and Moscow in his own style. The biggest highlight of the movie is Music by Harris jayaraj. All the songs have come out really well. They already have made a box office hit.The Flash back part of the story is bit interesting but it is hard to accept Kangna Ranaut as village girl. Actor jayaram has did a guest role. His sense of humor is appreciable. Last but not least Jayam Ravi holds the real key, he has did all the justice to the gautam role he played.
